All the photos that went into this collection!

All the photos that went into this collection!

It was suggested to me, by someone I respect and admire as a local professional woman and business owner, that I should put all my beautiful photos into a coffee table book.  I thought wow!  Thank you for that recognition and what a beautiful idea.  Then she even offered advice on how to go about it.  I pondered that and it is definitely something I had in the back of my mind for some future endeavor down the road.
However, now I can't get it out of my head! Should I save all the photos that went into this collection for posterity in a book, and why does it even matter? Social Media, and my Instagram account especially, is where I mainly post all my photos and content besides posting some of them onto my website, brigittehartdresses.com. It might very well be a good idea to have them in a place such as a book, where they would be protected from all algorithms and possible impropriety of something that I cannot control.
On my Instagram @brigittehartdresses, I have curated a space of photos, inspirations, notes and quotes.  I spend a great amount of time taking photos, selecting photos, reformatting them, researching and reading books for my captions, and contemplating for hours on end my next quote that is posted every 11 days--which for me is about every 15 posts.
The quote sets the tone of the next segment and on occasion it comes quickly,  but mostly it is something I think about for 11 days.  The photos are items that are important to me or are part of the collection I'm working on.  I try to make them impactful, meaningful and purposeful to tell a story that reflects my current outlook and what is presently affecting me, my environment, my business, my friends and clients.  But most importantly the posts convey a tribute to beauty, what it is and why it matters in the world.
It has been said that all created things are beautiful.  What then of something ugly?  Ugliness is not the opposite of beauty, it is however the deprivation of beauty.  What I've learned is that for something to be called beautiful, it must have certain elements of order, truth, and surprise.  It is a fascinating subject that I continue to study.
What I wanted to point out is that about every 11 days, I have a restart on my content feed on Instagram.  It's kind of like a refresh, or the start of a new chapter, or maybe even a plot change.  However the theme remains the same--presenting something beautiful to people who I may or mostly not even know--and that is what matters to me.  I hope that it inspires others to seek out and maybe just acknowledge the beauty that surrounds them.  Recognizing the beautiful in our day to day reveals a lot of truth and brings delight to the soul.
So, for now, until I have some extra time to put that big beautiful coffee table book in the works, here is a collage of how I documented my Inspired by LOVE, Limited Edition, Spring 2024 Collection.  These posts start on April 5 and go back to January 15, 2024.

I would love it if you commented and let me know your thoughts. 💕😊🌸
